Powell River’s education system is represented by School District 47. The public education system is responsible for providing primary and secondary education to the roughly 2,100 students within their boundaries. There are six elementary schools (grades K-7), one secondary school (grades 8-12), as well as various alternate schools and distributed learning programs to support home school initiatives.
